Octera has developed an extensive design environment for the development of high speed packet based communications designs in FPGA. Target applications for this design environment include:

Packet based bridges such as SPI4 - XAUI and custom XAUI standards (such as HiGig, HiGig+)
FPGA based packet co-processors, offloading Network Processors and custom ASICs

In addition Octera has developed a fully functional reference design featuring modules commonly found in high speed packet designs to act as a starting point for custom FPGA development. Developed modules include:

Queuing engine with asynchronous read and write ports and fast packet drop capability
